I am Kailyn, the driving force behind Elegant Ladies by Kaitlyn without the T. At just 20 years old, I am a proud member of the Conservative Party in the King-Vaughan riding, actively engaged in my community and committed to making a positive impact. Alongside my civic involvement, I am a university student passionately pursuing an honours double major in Criminology and Medical Anthropology, complemented by a certificate in German language. Being of German-Jamaican descent, my journey with the German language is deeply personal, connecting me to my heritage and my diasporic roots.

Beyond my studies, I thrive in various leadership roles on campus. I serve as the VP of Finance for the Criminology Society and as the Podcast Director for Nexus Advocacy, where I work to amplify voices and foster meaningful discussions. As the founder and president of our university’s Poetry Society, I encourage creativity and expression through poetry. Additionally, as a co-founding president of the Mock Trial Association at my university, I help cultivate critical thinking and advocacy skills within a collaborative environment.

            Currently, I am gaining invaluable experience through an internship at a law firm, immersing myself in the intricacies of legal practice. In my spare time, I express my creativity through sewing and culinary adventures that celebrate my rich Caribbean heritage. This connection to my Jamaican and Colombian roots is a source of pride, as is my Indigenous Taino ancestry. Both Colombia and Jamaica are known for their high representation of female leaders and entrepreneurs, inspiring me to champion diversity and empowerment in all that I do.
