The name Hanlon, derived from the Northern Irish Ó hAnluain meaning “descendant of Anluan” or “great warrior,” traces back to the ancient Gaelic tribe of Ui Nialláin in County Armagh. This noble lineage found new roots in Jamaica in the 1700s, when my family, the Hanlons, Northern Irish immigrants in Jamaica, became the first owners of the historic Dromilly Estate. Spanning 821 acres, the estate contributed significantly to Jamaica’s economy and remains a lasting symbol of the Hanlons’ presence and influence on the island.
The Hanlon Legacy Collection celebrates this history, blending the strength and tradition of Northern Ireland with the vibrancy of Jamaica. At the heart of the collection is a signature cologne infused with Irish Whiskey, Basil, Sandalwood, Sage, Musk, and Jamaican Lime, each note representing a fragment of my family, the Hanlons’ unique cultural story. This collection stands as a timeless tribute to the heritage of the Hanlons and the enduring bond between two worlds.
